The Problem RentalSpaces Is Solving

The same four failures, felt three different ways.

Problem Tenant Owner Agent
One enquiry, sold on to several people You repeat yourself to caller after caller about the same flat. Your renter is called by people you never appointed, and goes cold. You paid for that enquiry. So did the others.
“Verified” never meant “still available” You take a day off for a flat that was let last week. Your let flat keeps ringing; the free one does not stand out. You lose the day showing something gone.
Listing takes ten minutes. Showing takes a working day You go alone, or nobody turns up to open the door. A morning off work for someone who never arrives. Viewings done free, with no idea who is serious.
Everyone disappears at the agreement A tap leaks in month three and nobody answers. You are the maintenance department now. No reason to stay. It ends at the signature.

Portals verify the seller, the photographs, sometimes the identity. None of them checks whether the property is still free. And roughly seven in ten urban rental households in India have no written agreement at all — so when something breaks, there is nothing to point at. National Sample Survey, 76th Round

The RentalSpaces Solution

Four steps, and the same four whether you are letting a property or looking for one.

  1. 1

    List / Search

Have a place to let? List it free, in a few minutes. Looking for one? Search by area, or just tell us the locality, the budget and the move-in date. Both doors lead to the same process.

  2. 2

An Xpert contacts you and helps shortlist

One RentalSpaces Xpert covers your area and knows it properly — the buildings, the local agents, the owners. They call to check what is genuinely still free, take the photographs themselves, and come back with a short list worth your Saturday.

  3. 3

    Site visit

Viewings booked back to back in one trip, in an order that makes sense on a map. Your Xpert meets you at the first property and stays for the rest of the list. If you are the owner, you do not have to be at the gate.

  4. 4

    Finalize

Agreement, deposit and handover, with any fee stated in writing before a single thing is signed. Nobody here earns more for making you say yes today.

Start with your area

Three ways to find a rental. Only one of them turns up.

A listings portal

Where your enquiry goes
Sold to several agents at once
How current the listings are
Days old. Sometimes weeks
Who shows you round
You go on your own
What happens after you move in
Nothing. You are on your own with the landlord

A local broker

Where your enquiry goes
Stays with them
How current the listings are
Current, for the few streets they work
Who shows you round
They do — and that part they get right
What happens after you move in
Nothing. The relationship ends at the agreement

RentalSpaces

Where your enquiry goes
To one Xpert, and only one. Your enquiry is never sold on
How current the listings are
We call to check it is still free before we book you in
Who shows you round
Your area Xpert meets you there and stays for the rest
What happens after you move in
In Navi Mumbai, repairs and maintenance run through us

The local broker is not the villain here — turning up is the part they get right. What they cannot give you is a company standing behind them, and what neither of them can give you is an enquiry that has not already been sold four times.

For property owners

Listing was never the problem. Showing it was.

Anyone can put a flat online in ten minutes. Then somebody has to be at the gate at 11am on a Tuesday, and again on Saturday for the person who never turns up. We do the showing. Your area Xpert takes the photographs, meets everyone at the door, and tells you afterwards how it went.

Common questions

Asked before the first search, answered here.

How do I find rental properties on RentalSpaces?

Use the search box at the top of this page to enter your city, locality, or property type. You can filter results by BHK, rent range, furnishing, and more to find the right rental property.

Is it free to list a property?

Your first listing is free and stays live for 7 days. On day 7 you can pay to extend it another 7 days or let it lapse. If your property is let through us, brokerage of one month's rent plus GST applies, and we tell you the figure in writing before anything is signed.

Who will I actually be dealing with?

RentalSpaces, from start to finish. Tell us the area and the budget and we shortlist what fits, check each property is still available, and book the viewings in one trip. One RentalSpaces Xpert covers your area — they meet you at the property and stay for the rest of the list.

Which cities does RentalSpaces cover?

Major Indian cities including Mumbai, Delhi, Bangalore, Pune, Hyderabad, Chennai, Kolkata, Ahmedabad and Jaipur, plus many more across India.

Is RentalSpaces safe to use?

Owner and agent profiles are OTP-verified before they can post, and agents can be RERA-registered. Your contact details are never shared without consent, and payments run through Razorpay.
